Americans are spending more than ever on plastic surgery

Americans underwent hundreds of thousands of breast implant, liposuction and nose surgeries, spending billions.

An American Society of Plastic Surgeons report found Americans spent more than $16 billion on cosmetic plastic surgeries and minimally invasive procedures.

It’s evidence that plastic surgery, once reserved for the rich and famous, is now more mainstream, safer and accessible, said New York City plastic surgeon Dr. Alan Matarasso, an ASPS spokesman.

Breast augmentation surgeries, typically breast implants, far outpaced other surgeries with nearly 300,000 operations nationwide. Breast augmentations and the 223,018 nose reshaping surgeries both netted doctors more than a billion dollars. Liposuction also remains popular, with 235,237 surgeries across the U.S. costing about $750 million.

The average cost of a breast implant surgery went down about 3%, the study said, while liposuction and nose reshapings increased by about 6%.

By far the most popular minimally-invasive procedures, were wrinkle treatment injections, such as Botox. Americans underwent about 7 million procedures at a national average cost of $385.

People are paying up to $10,000 for plastic surgery to look good

The national average fee for liposuction is $3,518, but that does not generally include anesthesia and operating room fees, so the tag can hit $10,000 when factoring in those costs, especially in expensive markets like L.A. and New York City.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian butt lift, which involves using lipo to transplant fat from an area of the body where it’s unwanted, and using it to round out the patient’s derriere, has an average cost of $4,341 in the U.S., though it, too, can run up to $10,000 depending on the market and the facility. The procedure is more professionally known as “buttock augmentation with fat grafting” and has ballooned 19% between 2017 and 2019.

Top 5 cosmetic surgical procedures in 2018 – 2019

• Breast augmentation — 313,735 procedures.
• Liposuction — 258,558 procedures.
• Nose reshaping — 213,780 procedures.
• Eyelid surgery — 206,529 procedures.
• Tummy tuck — 130,08.

9 TIPS MARKETING FOR DOCTORS

There are many marketing strategies that can be implemented, but not all of them can be used for medical doctors. When we do marketing for doctors, there must be a complete plan that focuses on finding, attracting and retaining patients. Read on to learn about our practical marketing advice for doctors that will help you make your doctor’s work known effectively.

How Marketing can help doctors?

1. Understand your patients

Understand the needs of your patients. Remember that nobody chooses a surgery or a medical procedure by choice. They simply seek to be treated, but they really don’t know what will really help. Therefore, you should prepare your marketing message highlighting how exactly you can help them recover instead of directly setting treatment options. This will help you win more patients.

2. Marketing Is Not an Expense; It’s an Investment

Marketing is important to drive the health care business model. Marketing for doctors should start with a detailed plan based on strategies and tactics, which includes specific objectives. It also includes a list of marketing activities that will help doctors achieve their goal of getting new patients, but also to retain them.

3. Have a professionally designed website

Online visitors will have an opinion about their practice in a few seconds after their site is loaded. 5% of visitors will judge the credibility of their practice based on the design of their website. Therefore, your site must be:

  • Well designed

  • Fast charging

  • Suitable for mobile devices

  • SEO optimized

  • insurance

  • Easy to navigate

  • Have videos and multimedia content on your site

4. Video Marketing Strategy

Video content is expected to represent 85% of all online traffic in 2020. As YouTube is the second largest search engine after Google, you cannot afford to ignore the video in your medical marketing strategy. Visual content has more impact on perspectives than text. Video content is 50 times more likely to rank in search engines than text.

5. Social Media Marketing

A large percentage of health care clients say that the content they find on social networks affects their choice of the treatment center they will visit. Sharing excellent content on social networks helps keep your audience interested and can be a great way to reach potential customers. However, not all social media platforms are the same. Therefore, we advise you and help you evaluate the best platform for your marketing campaigns.

6. Email Marketing

Most people check their emails in the morning. In addition, many adult patients want their doctors to improve the way they communicate with them by email. Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to market your practice and acquire potential customers because it is easy to customize and easy to implement. Encourage your patients to subscribe to your newsletter. Share the latest news, discounts and important information about medical care with your subscribers.

Also, let the emails be consistent and suitable for your practice. In this way, your practice will always be in the minds of your patients.

7. Make your patients leave testimonials

When it comes to marketing for doctors, testimonials are very important. Most patients consider online reviews when they look for a new doctor. Positive reviews will make patients trust their practice. Encourage your current patients to leave real comments about their practice and staff at the review sites. Also, answer your questions and comments, whether positive or negative.

8. List Online Business Directories

When a potential customer is looking for a medical practice on Google, 4-5 company listings on organic search results will be displayed. On mobile devices, these are the only search results that customers will see without scrolling down. It is important that it appears in local directories such as Google Business and Yelp so that patients can easily find their practice.

Use the same contact information for your medical practice in the lists of different platforms to prove that your business is legitimate.

9. Keep a winning attitude

By implementing the above strategies to achieve your sales objectives. Our most favorite medical marketing idea is to maintain a positive attitude. Therefore, dedicate enough time and resources to stay at the forefront of marketing. If you want to know exactly how we do it, fill in your details below.
